Shannon is a proud board member of OCCRA (On Call Community Rescue for Animals), a volunteer network that rescues and transports sick and injured animals to licensed care facilities. She further demonstrates her commitment to the community through both volunteer work and financial support for organizations such as Planned Parenthood, the Oregon Humane Society, the Cascade AIDS Project, the NAACP, the ACLU, REPAIR, and Taking Ownership PDX.

In her free time, Shannon loves spending time with friends and family and is a devoted pet parent. She enjoys being outdoors, the challenge of keeping houseplants alive, often has a home improvement project underway, and finds calm in collecting and tumbling rocks. A strong supporter of small businesses, she enjoys shopping locally and traveling internationally. Above all, Shannon finds true joy in meeting and connecting with people from all walks of life.
